Jumped on to Xbox Live on the PC this weekend, they have had a bit of an upgrade, one logged in you now get taken to a "Social" page (see picture). I like this, the page is clean, instantly you can tell who is on line, which games have been played the most recently and by whom but the most significant feature of this page is the "beacon".
It is now possible to activate a beacon to your friends, accompanied with a message of up to 40 characters (if you want) to invite them to join you in a particular game, a nice little touch.
Click on any of the game titles and it will take you to a new page that shows all the achievements available and which ones you have unlocked, it also shows which of your friends have played the game and when they were last on.
The whole page has the feel of FaceBook albeit you cannot write directly on your wall (I wonder whether or not this will happen? Apparently this is the first stage of changes that are happening with the dashboard of Xbox live, I'm looking forward to see what else is to come!!
